Loma Linda University School of Medicine's annual White Coat Ceremony is when students gather before their families, friends and faculty inside Loma Linda University Church to receive their white coat that symbolizes the beginning of their journey as future physicians. Faculty members place coats on the students and congratulate them on their entry into medicine with the promise to treat their patients with the highest respect and compassion.
