Minority Introduction to the Health Sciences (MITHS) Program

MITHS is a challenging three-week summer program designed to introduce Black Seventh-day Adventist high school students to careers in the health sciences. Participants will be introduced to the health sciences by exploring topics ranging from medicine, dentistry, allied health, public health and healthcare administration.

In order to best prepare students for higher education in these careers, a focus is placed on anatomy and physiology, mathematics, reading comprehension and writing throughout the program. Students will be able to listen to courses taught by faculty from Loma Linda University, tour and experience labs at the schools, the simulation center and learn the fundamentals of professions in the health sciences.
