International Overdose Awareness Day Resource Fair

Loma Linda University Medical Center, Department of Emergency Medicine is hosting a resource fair surrounding the management and treatment options for substance use disorder patients on Wednesday, August 28th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. It will be held in the courtyard between the new and vintage hospitals.

Resources include:
• Substance Use Navigators: available to discuss consulting service, Narcan Kit for distribution
• Emergency Care: prehospital efforts for SUD patients, leave behind Narcan program, early SUN notification, youth resources. These initiatives are supported by grants awarded to our emergency department (CARESTAR, YOR3, BRIDGE) EM Clinical Champions: Dr. Michael Downes, MD & Sharmin Kalam, MD
• VIP team: stop the bleed campaign, CPR
• HIV Clinic: prep clinic, HIV & STD resources, tattoo removal
• BMC: inpatient and outpatient treatment options
• CHW: types of resources available and their role in the community
• SAC Norton MAT clinic: medical treatment options
